PLC's Cycle in my Life

When understanding the Product Life Cycle we have to know that it has four stages. The first is the introduction stage where something is introduced into the market. The second stage is growth, where can we see the product facing profits and losses. The third stage is maturity in which the product is well established and has a hold in the market. The last stage is the decline where the product's value in the market starts to fall.

The products that come in the introduction phase of my life are sunscreen and lipstick by Maybelline. I was never a girl who used sunscreen. But, come the harsh summers of Kerala, I had to use it. That's when my sister suggested me to use sunscreen. I never quite understood the need for sunscreen. Until I used it, I didn't realize the benefits that it had. After I started using it, my skin has changed a lot. I don't see any patches and spots which were apparently a skin allergy. I am much more comfortable in the sun when I have applied sunscreen. Coming to my new lipstick, I never knew the wonders it had packed in it. Maybelline's lipstick has made my lips more soft and lush. Its waterproof formula makes it easier for me to eat and drink freely. It is beautifully pigmented which is why it gives out a wonderful shade when applied on the lips. I can see myself buying the lipstick again.

Moving on to the stage of growth, the products that are currently residing here are jeans by Jealous 21 and Philip's Hair Straightener. I am a jeans kinda girl. That is the one garment which I'm always comfortable wearing. But I have never quite found the right fit. So, when I stumbled upon the jeans by Jealous 21, it was like I had found a treasure. The jeans were godsent. It was extremely comfy and chic as well. I have already decided to buy 2 more pairs as well. Hair straighteners have always been a part of my makeup routine. When I received Philip's hair straightener as a gift, I decided that I have to try it. It had a Keratin coating which made sure that the heat wouldn't harm my skin. It also had various settings so that one could style their hair in unique ways.

Coming to the maturity stage, there are two products in my life that will always be constant, no matter what. One is Lays and the other one is my mobile. Lays chips have always been a part of my life, ever since I can remember, Be it any of the flavors Lays has to offer, I am always there for it. But, my personal favorite is Lays' Magic Masala. Coming to my mobile, for a long time now, I have owned one by LG. Very sheepishly, I say to others that I am the only one who has this phone. Although not an extremely good one, it serves all my purposes. And I absolutely like it.

The last stage is the decline stage. The two products that have seen a decline in my life are Paragon slippers and Sony DVD Player. Paragon slippers were a staple in my style. I used to really like and be sure of it. When I was introduced to slippers by other brands, I no longer wanted to wear the ones by Paragon. Although these slippers were cheap and durable, the other ones were fashionable and pretty. The DVD Player is pretty much no longer used. Who would want to see movies on a CD when it's all available on various OTT platforms? Of course, among several other reasons, this was one major reason why I decided to give on my CD player.
