Variety of Online Shoppers

Online shopping has become an everyday thing for most of us now. As we are stuck at home and can't go out, will there be a better time for us to shop online? No queues, no trials, and absolutely no jhanjat! Just search for what you like and voila! The product will be yours. Although many people still miss going out shopping, I am one who enjoys sitting in my comfy pajamas and shopping till my heart is full and my pocket, empty.

'The Wish Lister' is the first type of online customer that frequents almost all online shopping sites. They are not exactly interested in buying anything, but they just add whatever they would like to own into their wish list. It's not like they will come back and buy it, but if they like a product, it will be wish-listed, that's for sure.

The second type is 'The Rational Visiter'. They will not just buy something impulsively. They'll think about it, decide what to buy and only then will they buy it. If they see something that they like, they'll think if they really need it or not. They don't shop for pleasure, but instead for their needs and uses.

Coming to the third type, they belong to the category of  'The Satisfier'. They don't believe in the concept of surf and shop. If they need something, they just buy the first thing that they like. They don't search for it, instead, they just buy the first thing that satisfies their needs.

The fourth type is 'The Brand-Oriented' shopper. The brands are what matter for them and not the product. They are the ones who we call 'trendsetters'. They follow the latest trends and go along with it. If a brand is supposedly very famous, they will definitely buy its products.

'The Maximiser' is the fifth category of online customers. When a person from this category buys a product, they will see if the product they are buying is the best. They will evaluate all options available and see if the one they have chosen is the perfect one. Just before buying, they'll again repeat this method to see if they have made the right decision or not.

The final type that I'm introducing is 'The Hesitator'. They are never able to buy anything. Even if they want something, they will not be eager to buy the product. They are not interested in buying a product, even if they do not need it. They are forever tensed about the decision they have made.

These are the various types of online shoppers you see on the internet. If I had to sort myself into one of these 'houses', I would be a maximizer. Whenever I buy something, I need to know if the product is good or not. If I am finally convinced that the product I want is the best, then I finally buy it. This is the online shopper that I already am.
